Merlin Cormier / Owner

Co-owner and motorcycle guide for Overload ADV, Merlin Cormier is an avid and skilled adventurer on land, in the sea, and in the sky. Merlin grew up in a farming community on Prince Edward Island in Eastern Canada. His passion for two wheels started there, riding dirt bikes around the family farm. Merlin started racing motocross at 11, winning the 125cc championship in 1995. He got his first sport bike at 16, and then as an adult, started touring coast to coast in Canada and the United States, first from Prince Edward Island to British Columbia on a Suzuki GSX-R600, then from San Diego to Key West on his Victory Highball. As his thirst for adventure riding grew, Merlin found himself searching for off-road opportunities, getting off the pavement and exploring Southern California and Baja with trips to Ensenada, Bahia de Los Angeles, Cabo, and Sea of Cortez. He is constantly in search of new off-road routes that are challenging and fun that he can share with you via Overload ADV. When Merlin is not planning his (and your) next motorcycle adventure, he is working as a military skydive instructor, training elite special forces and future Navy SEALs.
